Let's Go the Distance, Cook County Walking Campaign

Go the Distance, Cook County is a social media campaign encouraging residents to walk more in the places where they live, work, learn, worship, and play. Walking is fun, easy, affordable, and a great way to connect with family or friends and explore Healthy HotSpots. Bird the Preserves and Go the Distance

The Forest Preserves of Cook County are a natural Healthy HotSpot, providing opportunities for people to connect with nature and outdoor activities. The Preserves boast nearly 70,000 acres, offering residents numerous ways to enjoy recreational activities. You can #GoTheDistanceCC by participating in #BirdthePreserves. The American Heart Association (AHA) has launched an ambitious movement to build a culture of health and well-being. They are putting their plan into action where most Americans spend a lot of time — at work.
