Pest Control

Cook County Department of Public Health (CCDPH) environmental health staff are experienced in pest and vector control. Vectors include mosquitoes and other insects, ticks, mice, birds and other animals that transmit disease-producing organisms to humans.

CCDPH staff enforce vector-related complaints in unincorporated suburban Cook County only. CCDPH will provide information to local municipal governments, school districts and residents of suburban Cook County on integrated pest management and methods to monitor and control pests and vectors. Local municipal governments may also request assistance in conducting on-site investigations to identify and resolve complaints of infestations.
