Partners for Our Communities (POC) educates, supports, and improves the lives of immigrants by providing resources and programs in health and wellness, immigration, education and employment, youth and family, and adult leadership.
25 years ago, POC began this work in a one-bedroom apartment in Palatine that is still an open community center today. POC service areas include Palatine, Rolling Meadows, Hoffman Estates, Hanover Park, Streamwood, Schaumburg, Wheeling, and Arlington Heights. POC serves immigrants and other underserved individuals and families in North Suburban Cook County. These families are highly vulnerable to COVID because of their living conditions, lack of consistent healthcare, chronic preexisting conditions, and other barriers including education, income, transportation, and employment. Partners for Our Communities provides community supports and outreach to effectively disseminate timely and accurate COVID-19 information.
