Proviso Leyden Council for Community Action 

The Proviso Leyden Council for Community Action, (PLCCA) , is a 501c3 private not for profit community organization dedicated to enhancing, developing, and implementing practical approaches to serve both low-income residents and the community at large. The mission of PLCCA is to advocate for social change by promoting community development and empowering people through education, training, and supportive services. PLCCA prides itself on being a comprehensive organization that provides a multitude of programming and services to fit community residents’ needs. Established in 1968, PLCCA has expanded its capacity to deliver over thirty programs and services such as substance abuse counseling, mental health counseling, and workforce training and placement. PLCCA embraces community members and equips them with the necessary skills and resources to improve their overall quality of life. PLCCA will provide outreach and education through flyers distribution, advertisements on social media platforms, and newsletters.
