Go the Distance Staff Meet-up: July 7th, Shabbona Woods

July 7, 2018 @ 1:15 pm - 2:15 pm

In support of Go the Distance, Cook County (GTD), the Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion Unit in collaboration with the Forest Preserves of Cook County (FPCC) are inviting CCDPH staff to voluntary walking meet-ups at designated Forest Preserves of Cook County locations, July – September 2018. GTD is a walking campaign encouraging residents of suburban Cook County to walk more in places where they live, work, learn, worship and play. Commit to walking more this spring and summer by visiting www.gothedistancecc.com

In collaboration with the Forest Preserves of Cook County, the first scheduled walking meet-up is Saturday, July 7th, 1:15pm – 2:15pm at Camp Shabonna Woods, 15810 S. Torrence Ave, South Holland. Enjoy a 45-minute nature walk with your colleagues and family. After the walk, feel free to join FPCC’s Outdoor Block Party festivities including hiking, games, and nature play. To view the Outdoor Block Party flyer, click the “Documents and Handouts” tab.
