When zip codes become a better predictor than genetics for negative health outcomes, it becomes imperative to address why that is. In today’s Public Health world there has been general agreement that social conditions determine the health of communities and in turn those of individuals. One social condition in particular, WORK, remains challenging to reach broad consensus on.
In particular, how to address/redress so that health equity can be advanced and eventually attained. Here we explore the strategy of co-enforcement to connect Public Health and Community Organizing to keep workers healthy, safe, and alive. And share opportunities to engage and improve current working conditions.
