Founded in 1968, Cornerstone Community Development Corporation (CCDC) is a minority, community based not-for-profit organization, located in the Village of Ford Heights, IL. Cornerstone’s mission is to improve the quality of life for the underprivileged and to assist vulnerable populations in times of crisis, emphasizing emergency, supportive and educational services to individuals and families until they stabilize.  Cornerstone Community Development Corporation’s client base is primarily comprised of low-income African Americans across South Suburban Cook County and East Will County, as well as parts of Chicago’s south side.  CCDC’s core services include anti-hunger initiatives, housing related services, and vocational/job training programs with a focus on 1) family stabilization; 2) life skills training, and 3) workforce development.  

CCDC’s services target low and moderate-income residents’ primarily in South Suburban Cook County with a total population of 255,308 individuals representing 90,539 households.
